Welcome to my new look website. Since it's original launch in April 2005 I've had over 400,000 page visitors from over 72 countries and have met numerous people at the shows I attend throughout the UK.

Like the exhibition Fifes I keep the site is a hobby, I try and keep it regularly updated (mostly within the diary section) keeping up with the latest news from the hobby. I've purposely not gone into massive details on certain subjects (ailments, cinnamon pairings etc) but will offer my experience and thoughts on almost any subject to do with Fifes - email me through the links.

What's New on the site

Well its been 12 months in the making but i'm delighted to announce that from 31 March 2016 my new venture officially launches.

A 2010 bred variegated buff hen. This bird was second in a class of 45 at the North of England Fife Show. The bird, paired with its half brother, has blood I my entire clear and variegated line and went on to produce 5 colour special winners.

My 2011 Best Champion Green a self green Buff Hen (centre) at arguably one of the biggest Fife shows in the world, the North of England Fife Fancy Canary Club where almost 1,500 Fifes were on show. In 2012 I went one better taking the top Champion Colour Special for Variegated and Foul Birds.

The Fife Canary

The fife is a delightful breed, arguably now the most popular type canary in the UK.

Available in an array of colours from clears, through to whites these popular birds are relatively inexpensive, generally good breeders and competition is keen throughout the UK with the two biggest shows attracting a combined entry in excess of 3,000 between them.

The fife continues to grow in popularity, in this site you'll find practical advice to the newcomer on basic husbandary and more advanced advice on those keen to develop their own stud of exhibition Fifes.

Enjoy

Matt
